“Enough!”, the words come from the same doorway that Gil had just exited, everyone leaps in fright as the sound of thunder cracking throughout the grand dining hall, attempting to cease the hostilities.

“Not this asshole”, Xander mutters, just loud enough for Franko to hear. All involved minus Franko cease displaying their threats with their Affinities as the man the voice came from approaches.

“Who is that?”, Franko asks.

“It's the First Magus of the Lightning Doce, Zaros Arcshade, and he is a total and complete fucker”

Zaros Arcshade approaches the group at a steady cadence, his black and gold robes trailing behind him slightly. A golden medal depicting the symbol of the Lightning Doce dangles from his neck, almost hanging low enough to reach the golden sash around his waist.

The group of Gil's new friends move out of his way immediately as Zaros approaches, stopping a few paces from Franko, almost on the spot where Gil had just stood moments ago.

“Magus Provinco, you will cease hostilities right now, or I will see you and your Guardians..”. The way he said Guardians made Franko's glare harden, he had never seen this man before today, only heard of him. What problem could he possibly have with the Guardians?.

“...I will see you and your Guardians banished from the Ring of Magi before sunset. Do I make myself clear?”, Zaros' words were commanding, but condescending as well.

“Yes Master Arcshade, I apologize”, Franko says as he reels in his Affinity, the pale blue glow around him dissipating.

Zaros Arcshade was half a head taller in height to Franko and Xander, but his skin was much paler. His evenly receding brown hair stood up on end, like he lost control of his Affinity for a moment. He showed age, with small wrinkles around his eyes and across his forehead.

'He must be old, old enough to be showing these visible signs of ageing', Franko thought to himself, knowing that Affinity born people tend to live longer, and age slower, especially the more powerful they are.

“And you Magus Xandarian, causing problems again I see” Zaros' sunken eyes glance over to Xander, who glares back indignantly.

“I was merely showing support to my friend Frank. I'd hate to see your little group of thugs harm him”, Xander remains steadfast next to Franko.

“My disciples wouldn't harm anyone, unless provoked Magus Xandarian. Unlike you”, Zaros' tone was so snide that even though it wasn't directed at Franko, he immediately took a dislike to the man.

“Now move along before my threat to Magus Provinco extends to you as well”, Zaros commands, still unmoving, his hands behind his back, and in the opposite sleeves.

Xander glares hard at Zaros before grabbing Franko and pulling him along back to their table.

“Everyone will go back to their meals. Now!” Zaros commands and his words cause a thunder-crack once more, and with a jump, the huge room of Magi go back to their meals as the ambient sound picks up. Zaros himself glares one last time towards the Guardians before slowly turning and walking about from whence he came.
